Have you ever really needed God to guide you? Have you found yourself at the bottom of the barrel without enough and uncertain of what to do? Sometimes when circumstances are not working right and folks are acting up, you might find yourself in such perplexing situations that only a word from God or a touch from God will set things right for you. We have noticed when most folks need to hear from God and there seems to be no answer, impatience, depression and anxiety sets in. When this happens, Unfortunately, there are invariably 3 voices in each ones head at any given time; God’s voice, the devil’s voice, and the voice of our own flesh. So with so many voices going on in one’s head it can be incredibly difficult to figure out the voice of the Lord.

So with that being said, you might wonder how are we to be sure that it is really God with all the noise going on? It can be terribly simple to figure out. If we wish to hear from God, we need to figure out a way to shut out the devil’s voice and our own flesh’s voice when we are seeking God for directions. To do this, we need to recognize the devil’s voice and our flesh’s voice.

1st of all, the devil is straightforward with his mumblings in our head, he injects, doubt, depression, distrust, and evil thoughts in our minds to make us think bad thought and to make us want to give up and quit. Our own flesh’s voice has been highly influenced by too many voices and cannot be trusted to always make right decisions because oftentimes we are too close to the situation to be objective. Therefore, undoubtedly, you will need God’s help in figuring out how to hear His voice and how to determine when it is really Him guiding you and speaking to you. We encourage you to get alone with God and pray and ask God to help you learn how to hear His voice and recognize His directions. Try not to get discouraged if you have to keep on praying for a long time before God answers your request to help you learn how to hear His voice and recognize His directions. God delights in guiding you, helping you and He loves it when you show up and pay Him a visit in prayer and ask for His help and guidance through prayer.

So keep praying to the Lord, and keep praising Him, for God is good and worthy to be praised no matter what and regardless as to if you like what He is doing or has allowed to happen in your life. Psalm 22:three says, “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” Satan will have to flee after we begin praising God as a result of the Lord inhabits the praises of His people. The devil is not gonna stick around while you shout “Hallalujah” to the Lord. Just shout out your praise to God. Praise Him for who He is. Praise Him for what He has done, praise Him for His guarantees, and praise Him because He deserves it. As you’re praising God, you will not hear from the devil, because the devil doesn’t like it when you praise God.
Our flesh is that the more troublesome to regulate as a result of it never can get enough and is rarely satisfied. It’s also the most tough to manage because it’s extremely self-centered. Even still, Jesus said, “Deny yourself and follow me.” (Mark 8:thirty four) Your flesh does not wish to follow Jesus. That may mean having to offer up several things. It doesn’t matter. We are to crucify the flesh. (Galatians 2:twenty) It is a decision. When you quiet the evil twins within you, the devil and your own flesh, it’s a lot of easier to hear from God. Currently, that doesn’t mean you may hear an audible voice, although you might, but not likely.
God speaks in many different ways. Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice and they follow me.” (John 10:twenty seven) Clearly, before we will recognize God’s voice, we should be like sheep. What are sheep? Only the dumbest animals on the face of the earth. Look to God with child like eyes and child like faith, and believe that it is impossible for Him to fail you or let you down when you ask for His help and guidance. Become fully dependent upon God and rely upon Him for your every need and watch Him work, answer you and meet your needs. This goes back to crucifying the flesh. You can hear from God, and you should. It could be something from His written Word (logos). It may be His audible voice (rhema). You can additionally get His rhema Word spoken through a friend. Or, it can be nature, convictions, open and shut doors of chance, and the foremost likely, internal peace.
One manner you will not hear from God is thru your emotions. Emotions are dangerous ground because they’re never consistent. They’re up one minute and down the next. You can’t build necessary selections based mostly on one thing thus erratic. Many times, you will not get an exact answer on something specific. The Bible tells us that we have a tendency to measure our lives by faith. We are to step out and attempt things that we tend to feel God is leading us to do. Perhaps this can work, maybe that can work. We just have to step out and see. “In the morning sow your seeds to God and see what He will do…For sometimes you do not recognize that which will prosper, either this or that, and God could be just waiting for you to sow your seeds so He can create your harvests. One thing is for sure, “The steps of a good person are ordered by the Lord.” (Psalm thirty seven:23) Trust God for direction as you take a step of faith toward what you’re feeling He is calling you to. He can let you recognize whether it’s extremely Him or not but you will have to wait on Him until He’s ready to answer you. So go ahead, get alone with God and pray your prayers, after all He is waiting just for you!
