If You’ve prayed,Let God meet you at your crossroads!
For many people, their worries and anxieties can distort their perception of what is reality and what is not. God doesn’t want you walking around worried and trying to figure things out on your own, this is why He offers to help you. If you are worried and frustrated by life’s circumstances and problems, God wants to ease your worries and doubts, all you have to do is call to Him in Prayer. Prayer is a great way to get out your frustration, anxieties and doubts when you pray to God. Your prayers don’t have to be formal or eloquent, they just have to be real and heartfelt. God already knows how you feel, but He wants to invite you to unload all of your problems, frustrations and doubts on Him knowing that He will hear you and will work to answer your prayers in the way that He feels is best for you. Until you begin to recognize the ways that God will work to answers your prayers for help, Here are a brief list of techniques that you can use to help gain a better perspective on things during Your anxious moments.
When feeling anxious, stop what you are doing and try to do something that will relax you. You should take a deep breath and try to find something to do for a few minutes to get Your mind off of the problems. You could get some fresh air, listen to some music, or do an activity that will give you a fresh perspective on things. Remind yourself repeatedly of how God has worked to answer your prayers in the past, it is in this way that it will bring joy to your heart and gladness to your Spirit when you reflect on God’s goodness. When You take the time to reflect on God’s goodness in your life over the years, you will experience a quick refreshment just from thinking about God’s goodness and His willingness and ability to help you! This within itself is a priceless gift that you can give yourself repeatedly and a priceless gift that you can give to God repeatedly anytime you do it!
Remember that our fearful thoughts are exaggerated and can make the problems worse. A good way to manage your worry is to challenge your negative thinking with positive statements and realistic thinking. When encountering thoughts that make you fearful or anxious, challenge those thoughts by asking yourself questions that will maintain objectivity and common sense.
When overwhelmed with worry, you may encounter a lot of scary thoughts coming at you all at once. Instead of getting upset, remember that these thoughts are exaggerated and are not based on reality. God controls your reality and most scary things that run through your mind never happen. It is usually the fear behind the thoughts of fear that will get you worked up if you let them. So, Ignore the fear behind these thoughts and focus on God and Him being your shield in your time of worry, and your worry should decrease.
Remember that all the worrying in the world will not change anything. Here’s a thought for you, Instead of worrying about something that probably won’t happen, concentrate on what you are able to do and then pray that God will do what you are not able to do to improve your circumstances and ease your worries. What you don’t know about, or are unsure about, leave in the hands of God, He is big enough and Sovereign enough to handle what you can’t if only you will invite Him to help ease your worries. Do not try to get rid of all of your worries at the same time. Determine which of your worries bothers you the most and try to tackle that one first by placing it in God’s hands. When you are able to manage this particular worry then go on to the next one. Do not put everything on your plate at the same time. Take it one step at a time. It is not easy to deal with all of our fears. When your fears and anxieties have the best of you, try to calm down and then get the facts of the situation. The key is to take it slow. All you can do is to do your best each day, hope for the best, and when something does happen, take it in stride. Take things one step at a time, and things will work out.
Will you trust God with your worries and frustrations? Want to place everything in God’s hands? If so, Join us in this simple prayer;
