Many people appear to lack the faith to worship a God they cannot see so they choose to worship other humans. Some worship Buddha, some Jesus, and some other avatars.

God apparently knew humans would have this problem, therefore He chose Jacob’s descendants as a special people who would be a light to the world. The Ten Northern Tribes of Israel lived wickedly so their covenant with God was broken, and God told them they were not His people and He was not their God. Then He sent Jesus to the lost sheep of the House of Israel to redeem them and repair their covenant with Him.

He gave the House of Judah (Jews) and the rest of the House of Israel the Torah to guide them so they would not worship false gods. They were to live by the statutes and Laws of Torah and by doing so they were to be a light to the nations.

Jesus taught the spiritual aspect of the Torah. He was a light to the world. Because he had a pure heart filled with unconditional love, Christ, the Divine Love of God, lived in his heart. Sometimes when Jesus spoke, it was actually the Spirit of God (Christ) speaking. For instance, when He said, “I am the way, truth, and life, no man commeth unto the Father except by me,” it was actually the Spirit of God speaking through Him. It was Christ speaking. It was unconditional love (God) speaking.

It is unconditional love that is the only way to our Heavenly Father. It is unconditional love that is the way, the truth, and the life. Like Jesus taught in Luke 10:25-28, when you love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself,  and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior you will have eternal life and a living and thriving relationship with God.
