Does it seem like God forgot what He promised? Reasons you should keep waiting!

Are you stuck in a whirlwind of problems that seem like they have dragged on for what feels like many days, many weeks, many months, many years or even decades? If it does,

You’re not alone; many people are wrestling with peculiar situations, unpleasant problems, and challenges that seem never-ending. Many people have reported to us that their problems seem like they never change, never get any better, and they keep having to fight with or figure out how to solve the same old issues.

In times like these, it’s easy to lose hope and feel like God has forgotten you. But let us tell you, dear friend and faithful blog reader, even in these challenging times, God’s hand is at work.

Purposes of Peculiar Situations

When we talk about peculiar situations, we’re addressing those unique, often bizarre challenges that defy simple explanations. They come in various forms—prolonged illness, financial instability, or strained relationships, to name a few. These problems can drag on for many days, weeks, months, or even decades, making it hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Yet, it’s crucial to understand that these peculiar situations are not without purpose. They are opportunities for growth, character development, and deepening your faith in God.

Consider Job, a man whose name is synonymous with suffering. He faced problems that seemed endless, yet he remained faithful. Joseph, sold into slavery and imprisoned for years, waited for God’s promise to be fulfilled. These biblical stories aren’t just historical accounts—they are testimonies of God’s faithfulness in the face of long-suffering. They serve as encouragement that, just as God delivered Job and Joseph, He will bring you out of your peculiar situation eventually.

You gotta have long term faith in long term troubling times

Faith isn’t for the faint of heart, the weak, the gotta have it right now, or those who are looking for a quick fix or give me $10 and God will give you a miracle type of person. YOUR Faith has to be real, it has to be solid, it has to be so strong that even if what you are going through is so bad you feel like you just can’t take it anymore, you still beleive that God is good, God is with you, God is in control and He is working in ways that you cannot see to change that which you can see that is troubling you.

Real solid faith is essential as the cornerstone of our relationship with God, especially during troubling times. It acts as our anchor amidst the storms of life. Faith isn’t just about believing in God during the good times; it’s about trusting Him even when your world is falling apart. When problems drag on for many days, weeks, months, or even decades, maintain your faith. Remember the promise in Hebrews 11:1—”Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

God’s gotta purposes behind Unpleasant Problems that may never be revealed!

One might wonder, “Why me? Why now?” However, unpleasant problems often come with a purpose. James 1:2-4 tells us to “consider it pure joy… whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.” These trials are not meant to break you but to refine you. They develop in you a character that aligns more closely with Christ. They push you to areas of growth that you wouldn’t have reached otherwise. Through these situations, God is molding you into the person He intended you to be.

Understand that God’s Timeline is different from ours!

God’s timeline operates on a different scale from ours. What may seem like an eternity to us is but a moment for Him. Understanding divine timing is crucial when dealing with prolonged problems. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us that “there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Trust that God knows the perfect moment for your breakthrough. He’s never late; He’s always on time.

What God Might Be Doing in Your Tough Season

While you may not see or understand it now, God is at work in your tough season. He could be teaching you patience, He could be healing you, He could be strengthening your faith, or He could be even preparing something far greater than you can imagine. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Your current struggles might be the very stepping stones needed for future blessings.

Your prayers really do have power, you gotta persit even if the devil makes you mad!

Prayer is your lifeline to God during troubling times. Persistent prayer, even when it feels like words are falling on deaf ears, is powerful. Jesus encourages us in Luke 18:1 to “always pray and not give up.” It may seem like your situation remains unchanged, but behind the scenes, God is orchestrating your deliverance. Don’t underestimate the transformative power of fervent, persistent prayer.

You will Find Strength if you Worship God anyway!

Worship, even when you’re hurting, can be a profound source of strength. It shifts your focus from your problems to the Almighty God. Worship isn’t just about singing songs; it’s about acknowledging God’s greatness and sovereignty over your life, even when it’s hard to see. Psalm 34:1, “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth,” serves as a powerful reminder.

Get you some friends! Encouragement from Fellow Believers helps a lot!

Lean on your fellow believers for support and encouragement. The church is a body, and the members are there to uplift one another. Sharing your struggles with someone who can pray with you or provide a listening ear can make a huge difference. Galatians 6:2 urges us to “carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.” You are not meant to walk this journey alone.

Be active and take Practical Steps While You Wait!

While you wait for God’s intervention, take practical steps to improve your situation. This might involve seeking counseling for emotional and mental health, exercising, praying more, reading the bible more, attending church more, or mingling with christian friends who care more, financial planning, or even improving relationships. Proverbs 16:3 encourages us to “commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” Taking action doesn’t mean you’re lacking faith; it means you’re trusting God to guide your hands and steps and you are trusting God to “control that which is trying to control and trouble you!

Conclusion

If you find yourself in peculiar situations with problems that have dragged on for many days, weeks, months, or even decades, don’t lose hope. Your challenges are opportunities awaiting divine intervention. Keep your faith anchored, persist in prayer, engage in worship, seek encouragement from fellow believers, and take practical steps towards improvement. Remember, God’s timing is perfect, and His plans for you are far greater than you can ever imagine. Trust in Him, for He is with you every step of the way.

Loving Heavenly Father,

We come to You today on behalf of all those who are feeling weary, discouraged, and stuck in the same frustrating cycles. Lord, You know the peculiar situations, the unpleasant circumstances, and the things that just haven’t changed no matter how hard they’ve tried.

These precious sons and daughters of Yours are at the end of their ropes, wondering if breakthrough will ever come. They’ve been praying, believing, and holding onto hope, but the problems persist, the difficulties linger, and they’re growing tired.

But Father, we know that Your plans for them are not limited by their current situations. You are the God of the breakthrough, the miracle-worker, the one who makes all things new. And right now, we’re asking You to show up in fresh, powerful ways and breathe new life into their circumstances.

Open their eyes to see the opportunities, the open doors, and the divine connections that You have for them – even right in the midst of their trials. Provide them with new ideas, fresh perspectives, and innovative solutions that they haven’t considered before. Bring the right people, the right resources, and the right answers into their lives to help them move forward.

Lord, fill them with Your supernatural strength, Your unwavering hope, and Your unshakable peace. Revive their joy, their passion, and their zest for living. Empower them to keep pressing forward, no matter how fierce the winds may blow.

We trust You, God. we believe that Your plans for them are good, and that You have a purpose for every season of their lives. So we’re asking You to show up and do something miraculous. Break through the barriers, open up the floodgates of breakthrough, and shower them with the answers, the new opportunities, and the divine connections that they need.

In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, amen. Keep waiting and trusting God, God will make a way somehow!
